The technique taught is mostly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (or BJJ) and Submission Wrestling. Most of our training is without the gi, but you may train in one if you want (and you certainly should if you plan on competing in one). The class focuses on conditioning and rolling or sparring, which provides great exercise combining strength, aerobic endurance, and flexibility training.
Beginners are welcome.
Currently, we have one class for teens, pre-teens, and adults. We might introduce more classes when there is enough interest. We have had some interest in a class for young children, 4 or 5 years old. We are looking to get at least four kids around this age in order to get a class started, so please let us know if you know anybody who might be interested.
